Meteor Institute of Digital Design Studies (MIDDS), a division of Meteor Films and a leading Animation/Game design institute has tied up with Expression College in Emeryville, California to offer a degree program. Expression College of Digital Arts has its campus near Pixar Studios and has world renowned programs in Animation, Visual Effects, Game Design and Audio Design.
As part of this collaboration, students passing out of MIDDS’ 17 month advanced diploma program will be eligible to enter Expression College with part of the credits waived and will be able to complete their degree in approximately three semesters. In effect students will complete their diploma at MIDDS in India and rest of the curriculum at Expression college to get their degree.
The academic head for Expression’s Animation/VFX program, Andrew Britt remarked, “We were very impressed to see the quality of student work at MIDDS and felt that the students were well equipped to be able to handle Expression’s intense curriculum. MIDDS has great industry relations and a stellar placement record that speaks volumes.”
MIDDS’ Director Satyam Bansal said, “We’re very excited to enter into this agreement with Expression college. This will offer our students an opportunity to pursue a degree in at one of the top Animation/VFX programs in US at half the cost that they would have paid had they done the complete program there. This is a phenomenal opportunity for a lot of our students. It also indicates the recognition of MIDDS programs and curriculum world wide.”
MIDDS, situated in Lokhandwala, Andheri-w, Mumbai, in a short period of two and half years has grown into an organization with ten centers across India and has tie-ups with several nationalized banks for education loans.
