Meteor Studios of Digital Design Studies (MIDDS) is currently organizing corporate training in animation for a group of Japanese professionals and students. It all started in the year 2007 when they trained the first batch of Japanese students from Tokyo University.
The training is focused on Web Designing, 2D and 3D animation and covers Photoshop, Dreamweaver and 3DS Max as the tools. The batch of students consists of a mix of students and professionals from field of engineering, art and graphics backgrounds. Japan looks at India as an emerging hub in animation and Tokyo University is keen to organize education trips to India.
Currently the training is being conducted in Pune. As part of this training, MIDDS will be bringing these students to Mumbai as well where they will be given exposure to the film making in Bollywood as well as given demos of high end animation pipeline. Students will also be taken to the sets of tele serial Saath Saath that airs on Zee TV and is the home production of Meteor Films.
One of the students Hiro from the batch commented – “This training has brought a new perspective and vision to us about high end animation and graphics and what be accomplished with them. Now we know the secrets to making of films like Shrek and Matrix”.
